2014 Outlook

Offense – The Crusaders charge into the 2014 season as the favorite in the Columbia Gorge League with what could be an explosive offense. 20 goal scorer Jacob Cleveringa is back for his junior year after piling big numbers in his first two years. The fast Catton brothers for Michael and Joey are back as well and will carry a bigger load in the offense.

Defense – The Crusaders had a defensive season good enough to get it to state in 2013. Will the defense experience similar success this year? Goalkeeper Micah Tranch is back and should aid in helping any newcomers make the defensive adjustments necessary.

Final Evaluation – Foday Kromah has some good things going for himself at Riverside Christian. With Cleveringa and supporting members in place, the Crusaders are on the verge of another big season. If the defense stays strong and the loss of Kirk Gartrell is covered over, a young midfield could get Cleveringa and Bradley Johnson the ball enough.
