2014 Washington Soccer Central Defensive Unit Awards

These are the units within the team. They have their own responsibilities within the team context. The success of many teams depends upon these specific units. A single unit can carry a team to Sumner – or beyond.

Washington Soccer Central will now honor the best of the best at each position with the 4th Annual WSC Awards.

Top Defensive Units

1. GRACE ACADEMY – Backed by Isaiah VanDam in goal, the Eagles were one of the top defenses in the state last year. VanDam had a monster season in goal. Joe Zak will also return to anchor the defense.

2. WAITSBURG/PRESCOTT – The Tigers finished fourth last season with many key defenders returning for 2014. Jose Paniagua and Christian Caro will be experienced options for the defense.
